Facebook Business Suite Tutorial 2022 ( Facebook Business Manager)

facebook business suite

how to get started with facebook business manager or facebook business suite so i had a great time yesterday i record a whole video walking you through how to get started with facebook business manager a couple hours later log into facebook manager and it completely changed and was now facebook business suite so what i think is happening right now is facebook is essentially trying to combine a couple of the different kind of programs applications that they have so there's facebook i think creator studio where you could share content to facebook and instagram they're basically merging that with facebook business manager so it's kind of an ongoing process right now the good thing is you can go back to the original facebook business manager if you're more comfortable with that but i'm basically just walk you through how to get your account set up how to connect your facebook page instagram account how to verify your domain connect an ad account all the main stuff you would do with either facebook business manager or facebook business suite so if you hop on the computer here's essentially what it looks like now for me when i log into business.facebook.com so essentially what we have here is you have your home you can see the activity your inbox so any of the direct messages to a facebook or instagram account your post ads insights and more tools and you have the settings down here if you go all the way down to give feedback you can go back to just the normal business manager i don't know how much longer they're going to leave that there if this is what they're trying to push people to but at least for right now you can use the old fashioned business manager if it's easier to manage everything from there what i wanted to do today is just start from the very beginning if you don't have facebook business manager or business suite and create an account to then connect your facebook page instagram accounts all the other things like that that you can basically do to make sure that you can manage everything that is facebook instagram whatsapp within just one website so with that said let's just open this up now in an incognito window so we can start from scratch so what you'll probably see when you get to this page business.facebook.com is you're probably already logged into facebook i had i would have to guess and you would just click on create account if i click on create account right now it wants me to log on to facebook okay so i'm just back at the same page again but it's not there's the login thing isn't here anymore and i can then create an account so if we say tfc for the fig code demo my name and my email and then submit okay so the fitco demo account was created so the next thing you want to do is verify your email i'm not sure if it's going to give you all the flexibility or all of the functionality if you go and do all this so you don't verify your email so i'm going to do that right now okay so here is the email from facebook business manager confirm my email address all right so if you create your account and land on a page that looks like this and it says facebook business settings this is essentially facebook business manager so within facebook business manager you have the users you have your accounts data sources brand safety integrations payments notifications business info etc if for example you let's click on business home this right here is facebook business suite and it's going to take me to our other account if we go here essentially everything's going to be empty right now and so you're not going to see anything here and it's not quite as straightforward of how to add people so you could click on settings where i just did and you're gonna see essentially where i think facebook is trying to change stuff to to look something like this and have everything integrated together okay so within people so let's add someone to our team so let's add loudoun my business partner and that's what i can do is give her admin access so they can have full control over the entire business so for example if you have an agency that has a bunch of different pages ad accounts instagram accounts you're probably not going to give them ad access as an employee you would just give them specific access to certain accounts or if someone only does your facebook you would give them employee access and just access to facebook for lauda let's give her admin access and then essentially click on next and then we can essentially go through hey if there's if there's different specific pages i can give her access to and then what type of role does she have so i could give her full control essentially then you have your business assets so here you would go through and i can add the facebook page so if i put in the name so if i put in the figco i could add those right here it's already connected to another one so i'm not going to do it right now the same thing with instagram so if i claim an instagram account um it'll be connected here and then so down below you see these like pop-out things so these are going to take you to separate pages right now but you know facebook is always changing you're going to see more or less the same things if you're looking at this six months later there may be more stuff here and maybe facebook business manager doesn't really exist but basically the same stuff is going to be there so obviously this is kind of a work in process for the facebook business suite so if i click on this for more business settings this is essentially taking me back to facebook business manager so you can see cloud is pending and then below that now you have some of the stuff that's not in business suite yet which are say partnerships so if you're working with a partner you can share assets with them so give them the your you know the partner business id and then you'll basically be able to decide what you want to share with them on the other hand if you want to request specific stuff from them you could click on this get started and then you basically put in the contact person their facebook business id your role and your partner's role to form that connection essentially and then going down below you have the pages so within facebook business manager you can either add a page request access similar to the partnerships or create a new page now moving on to ad account so i imagine for a lot of you the main reason to get set up with facebook business manager is to run facebook and instagram ads honestly this is one of the most powerful platforms to run ads for your business in this video we're not going to cover creating an ad account or creating ads for facebook or instagram but it's one of the next videos i'm recording for this channel as soon as the video is ready i'll link to it up above right here but for this section is basically the same thing we just saw a second ago four pages if you click on add you have three options add an ad account that already exists request access to someone else's ad account or create an ad account from scratch if you have a bunch of different you know different business assets groups things like that you would manage that here if there are any applications that would be managed within kind of the same id for or the same idea within apps instagram same thing you can add them here if you have a you know much you know diverse multi-location multi-divisions you can have kind of the lines of business here and then below that you have whatsapp account so if you have a whatsapp business account you can connect that here then moving down to data sources so there's a couple of things here so you have catalog so if you have products you sell online and you want to connect that to facebook or instagram you can essentially create a product catalog here and there's a bunch of different options so you have hotels flights destinations home listing vehicles vehicle offers etc and there's different ways to connect that that i'm not going to get into in this video but if you want to learn more about product catalogs and facebook write catalog down below in the comment section so facebook pixel these are really really important if you want to run facebook ads or instagram because it essentially tells facebook what happens after the click so facebook knows what happens on instagram on facebook who do they show it to do they click on it do they like it did they share it etc but once they click and go to your website it's a black box to facebook unless there's a facebook pixel with the pixel facebook can know did someone sign up what pages they view did they add something to the cart did they initiate checkout do they purchase and so you can know hey if i spend 100 on ads i got 200 back from purchases the next thing that's really important for the pixel is to create audiences so if you sent someone to a page and they didn't purchase you may want to run remarketing ads to them and so you can only do that if you have the pixel installed also you can create what are called look-alike audiences so if you have a bunch of people that have purchased something on your website you can essentially create an audience that are similar to those people that bought something on your page so that's essentially finding your ideal audience to buy your products through facebook ads with the pixel so the next video i'm going to be creating is how to install the facebook pixel on your website if you're interested in learning more about that check out the video up above right here so offline events are essentially where you may have a physical business and so you might run ads people don't purchase online they come into your shop and they purchase from you you can essentially upload their name email phone number up to facebook and then facebook compares here's who i showed ads to did any of those people come in and purchase so that's essentially what are offline events then you have custom conversions you have you can share you know business creatives okay so now moving on to brand safety and so if i click on the domains here here's where you essentially verify domains that you own and that you're going to be running ads to and so this is just kind of another layer of security that facebook is adding with all the updates for ios so with the pixel information the iphone is sharing less data with say facebook and other app companies one of the things that facebook is doing around safety and knowing hey who are ads being run to or where are they going is verifying domains and then here if you have register you have registration you can integrate so if you run ads for lead signups you'd essentially have access to that here you have the security center so do we want to add two factor to authenticate with two-factor or not and then moving on so notifications business information so i recommend you fill this out with your business name address phone number website you know all the information here so that you can essentially verify your business so that's basically everything you need to get started with facebook business manager and business suite go to business.facebook.com create an account and basically pull together all the different facebook related assets you have so facebook pages ad accounts instagram accounts whatsapp accounts and then you can manage all that in one place if you want help managing everything you can either add people or partners to help you manage it you can have them as an admin or give them access to specific things that you want them to manage if you're looking to get started with facebook ads there's two videos you should check out the first one that i'll link to up above is how to install a facebook pixel on your website and the second video down below is how to get started with facebook ads hope to see you in those and future bye

Meta Business Suite Setup - The Complete Guide For 2022 (Formerly Facebook Business Manager)

In this video, you're going to learn how to set up and use the Facebook business suite, AKA the Meta Business Suite. So the first thing you're going to need to do is head over to business.facebook.com. If you're logged out of Facebook, you should see a screen that looks like this. If you're logged in, you'll have a create account button in the top right corner. So either way click create account, it's going to ask me to log in. So I'll go ahead and log in with my Facebook information. And now that I'm logged in to Facebook, I, you can see I've got the option here to click create account. So you want to click create account, enter the name of your business, whatever you want to call it in Facebook. So I'll just call it something like Andrew's business and then your name, and then enter your business email. Then click submit. Once you do that, you'll need to head over to your emailing box. Whichever email you use to sign up, find the email from Facebook and make sure you verify your email address. If you don't do that, there's limited functionality. So do that next. Now, once you verify that email address, it should send you over to a screen that looks something like this. Now, if it doesn't look like this, just type business.facebook.com in your browser hit enter, and it should bring you to this screen. Now, obviously there's not much here at the moment, but there will be soon. So we're gonna do is take a look at my own business suite account so you can get a feel for what this tool actually does end where everything is. So business suite is a unified tool that brings together all of the different assets you have under the Meta brand things like Facebook pages, Instagram pages, WhatsApp accounts, Facebook ad accounts, and pixels, and anything else that exists within meta that your business owns. And so you'll see, when you log into business suite, you have things like a to-do list that shows all of your MES from different platforms like Facebook messenger, Instagram messenger, it shows your recent posts across all of those different platforms like Instagram and Facebook. And over on the left, we've got a menu that shows us all of our different unified notifications. So notifications from Facebook and Instagram, for example, and if we click on inbox, it actually brings together all of our different inboxes, like the Facebook messenger, Instagram direct Facebook comments, Instagram comments, and you can see all of those along the top as well. And then if we go back to the menu, we can look at posts and stories. And again, these are published posts across all of the different platforms inside meta. Now the next thing is actually one of the more useful features here, and that's the planner. This is where you can go in and schedule posts across those different platforms. So there was a time when in order to schedule post, any real option was to go and use third party scheduling tools. But now the meta business suite actually allows you to schedule posts across Facebook and Instagram and do it pretty well. There are still some things that are lacking, but overall it's a pretty good scheduler. And the last thing to look at here is insights. So the insights screen gives you insights into the performance of your most recent post. So you can see things like how many people those posts reached and a bunch of other statistics about how your organic content is performing. But now let's go back to the new account and look at how to actually set it up. So you've got something like this for yourself. The first thing you'll need to do in your business suite account is actually bring in some of those assets, namely Facebook page, Instagram account, and then people, if you've got. People on your team, this is where you could manage them and their access to your different business assets as well. So the first thing we'll do is go down to the settings menu in the bottom left hand corner. So click settings, you should see something like this. The only person in my account at the moment is me because it's a brand new account and you can see in the menu on the left, we've got a bunch of different options. So the first thing I would do is click on business assets and have a look at what assets you've got. As you can see here, I've got an ad account and some pixels added in already, but you are going to want to start by adding in, at a minimum your Facebook page. So let's do that by clicking add assets in the top right hand corner. We'll choose Facebook page. Now you've got a few options here. You can create a new Facebook page. If you don't have a business page already, you would click create a new one and you would set one up for your business. If you do already have one that you own that belongs to your business, then you want to claim that existing business page to bring it into business suite. If you want to get access to somebody else's business page, for example, if you're an agency and you need to get access to a client's page, then you would request access. In this case, I'm gonna claim my own business page. I'm gonna type in my name here because that's the name of my page. Find the page name, click it and click next. Okay. I can go down here. Agree to the terms, claim the page and the Instagram account. So it's actually claimed my Instagram account at the same time, because my Instagram account was linked to my Facebook page in order to bring that Instagram account, it's asking me to log in. So I'll go ahead and click log in because I was already logged into my Instagram account in this browser it's already gone through and log in. It might ask you to enter your name and password for Instagram, though, if you're not already logged in and then once that's done, you can just click on done. Now you can see in my business assets list here, I've got the Andrew Hubbard Facebook page and the Andrew and Hubbard Instagram account, which you should definitely follow. If you haven't already. Now let's look at what other assets, uh, we can add here. So if we click on add assets, you can add a WhatsApp account. If you want to, and you can add your ad accounts, commerce catalogs. If you're in eCommerce and you've got these products catalogs or other things here. So we'll click on that and just have a quick look. If you're in the app space, you can do that as well. In business creative folders, business, creative folders are just basically a folder full of media, like images and videos that you use for your business. But the thing we're going to focus on next is adding an ad account. And I've actually gone back to my main business account to do this because it wouldn't let me add a new ad account. In the other one, you click on add account and it's going to give you the same three options that you saw before. You can either create a new account. You can claim an existing ad account, or you can request, share access to somebody else's account. Now, if you are brand new to Facebook ads and you don't yet have a Facebook ad account, you would choose create a new ad account. If you want to claim an existing account, meaning you've already got an ad account, but you just didn't have business suite. Then you would click claim an existing ad account to bring it in. Now, if you're claiming an existing ad account, you would click that. And it's going to ask you for your ad account ID. The way to get that is to go over to the Facebook ad manager, grab the ID from either in the URL. So you can see it's got account a C T equals and then a number that's your account ID. It's not your business ID, or you can see it here in this dropdown. It's got the B ID here. So you'd click the dropdown, grab the ID from there. I'm just gonna grab it for this example from here, take it back across, drop the ad account in here and click next. Now that's going to say, would you like to claim it? Uh, it's going to confirm you tick the box, you click claim ad account, and that will bring that ad account into your business suite. Now, if you're watching and you don't have an ad account, you would simply click create a new ad account, choose a name, select a time zone and a currency, but be careful what you choose here. Make sure you choose a time zone and a currency that are correct, and that you'll want to stick with because you can't change these after the fact. So choose the correct time zone and choose the currency that you want to use on an ongoing basis, because you're not going to be able to reverse that decision. So you just give your account a name, so select a time zone, select a currency hit. Next. It's going to ask you to confirm again, click that and you would click create ad account, and then you would have a brand new ad account to use with your business. And it'll already be added to the Facebook business suite. So at this point, let's look at how we assign access to ourselves or our team members within the business suite. So with each of these assets, you'll see here, we've got people with full control and people with partial access, two different columns, and it shows you in each column, how many people are actually assigned. And so what we can do is we can choose who within our team, if you've got team members gets access to the page, to the Instagram account, to the ad account, to the pixels and any other asset, let's use the Facebook page. As an example, if I click on this, I can see that it says I need to review the people. So it's giving me a warning here, as well as clicking on page access, which allows me to see exactly who it is that has access. And if I want to add people, I can click on add people. You can see, I can select the people who are within my business right here, and I can turn on and off the options depending on what level of access I want to give that person. So if I want to add new people to the business, I would simply go to people. I can click add people. And here's where you would add these new people. So you would enter their email address, whatever they email address they use for Facebook, enter their email address, and you can choose whether you wanna give them employee access or admin access. Once you do that, they'll enter into your people list here, and then you can go back to assets and you can assign those people to the different assets. Once you've got those business assets inside of your business and you've assigned whatever access you want to those assets. The next thing to do is click on more business settings. And this is actually going to bring you somewhere that might look familiar if you are used to the Facebook business manager, but these are the essentials that you should do whenever you're setting up a new business suite account. The first thing I recommend doing is going down to business info. And actually entering all of your business information here. So you can see we've got things like address tax IDs and a bunch of other things go through and set those up. And I highly highly recommend you turn on two factor authentication and set that up as well, because it is really common for business suite accounts and Facebook accounts to get hacked. And one of the easiest ways to improve your security overall is with two factor authentication. So make sure you set that up as well. You'll also see there's a dropdown box here where it says everyone it's got no one admin admins only, or everyone. I recommend you set it to everyone, which means that anyone that you add to your business via the business suite and you give access to different assets is going to be forced to also use two factor authentication that dramatically reduces your risk again, of getting hacked, because it means if you assign somebody access to your business assets, like your Facebook page or Instagram account, and you reduce the chance of them getting their account hacked and the hacker getting access to your business assets via people in your team or people you've given access to. Once you've done that, I recommend heading over to payment methods next and adding a payment method. So you can see here, we've got ad payment method. That's going to allow you to add either a credit card or a PayPal account to pay for your ads. Now you'll notice there's some repetition inside of this advanced settings menu as well. So if we go to things like accounts, pages, that's simply going to show us the pages that we added in the previous section. And we can see all of our other assets in these different menu items here as well. So once you've gone through all of those steps, you should have something that looks like the Facebook business suite that I showed you at the start of this video. And once you've done that, there are two more really important steps to do next. So I recommend making sure these are the next things you do. First of all, make sure you verify your domains. There's a video here on that second. Make sure you verify your business with Facebook. And there's a video right here that will show you how to do that. Hope you've enjoyed this one. See you next time.
